Blazer tank install questions. Please help

Hey everybody, Its been a while since I've posted but I am in need of some advice. I have my truck torn to pieces and its in the paint shop. So hopefully some new pics will be added to this thread before long. My question though is. When you blazer tank users installed your tank what kind of lines or tubing did you use to feed the engine and did you run a return line. My in cab tank has a return and the blazer tank dont. So what should I do? My engine is nothing special at the moment but when I get done rebuilding the 5.7 vortec thats in my garage I hope to be around the 400 hp mark. (Key word hope) Which by then I will need an electric pump but for now the stocker should work fine. My main concern is should I run a return line or not? and where can I get fuel line tubing? I'd rather not run rubber hose but may have to as a last result. Thanks for your help.

I used rubber fuel line from the tank to the factory fuel line junction on the frame (where the ruuber line from the stock tank connects to the hard line attached to the frame).
No return line.
If you want to run metal lines, you can buy straight stock in various lengths at just about any auto parts store.

The lines is not a problem, I just added a solid line from the original to the tank with a brass union joint. What nobody told me is that you have to cut the bed cross member to clear the tank, that was a unexpected. Now if you need to access the bed bolts above the tank for any reason, you need to lift the bed or remove the tank.

I was aware of the bed rail needing to be cut so there was no shock there. is your filler neck going to clear the frame or are you going to have to modify it also. Thanks for the advice yall.

No, there is no problem with the neck and the frame. It clears fine.

I drilled holes in the lower part of the frame rail and ran the bolts all the way through in the area where the tank is and put the nuts on where I could always get to them..

I was surprised on my install when I realized a crossmember would have to be cut as well. After all the threads I had reviewed I don't remember anyone mentioning it, although I'm sure lots must have.
I just shook my head.
As far as the running the fuel lines, it's pretty easy. If you want to avoid kinking it buy a tube bender, they're cheap. I didn't use a bender but it worked fine.
