I'm Changing my Mind and Need Help!!

I've been looking for Burb for quite a while now and haven't been able to find the right one at the right price. I found this truck and Ebay and am falling hard for it ( I'm high bidder right now ). Can you guys/gals have a look and point out any flaws you may see as I'm looking at it through rose colored glasses and I've done that before. If it passes the "Board Test" then I may just own it. Thanks for yoiur help.

Looks like a real nice truck. Is the seller a board member? If a suburban is what you really desire you may want to hold out for one.

And, even though you are the high bidder, the "Reserve" is not met yet.....so you still might not win it.

The reserve is going to be around the $7,500. asking price.
If I were looking for an original survivor, I'd have no problem paying it.

Yep, I'm well aware of that but I do not want to pay any more than I have to. When I bought my Tahoe off Ebay I was high bidderr and didn't hit the reserve, but when the auction ended and after a couple of phone calls and some haggling I made the deal.

that is a beautiful truck.
Not that you asked this question... it is an early 68. The wooden bed floors were painted black at the begining of the 68 model year, they went to body color sometime mid year

I dont know if the seller is board member and although I really want a Burb, if I can buy this truck right and put a set of rallys and maybe upgrade the brakes to disc and drop in a 327 to hook up to that 3 on the tree, I'd be just as happy.

Re: I'm Changing my Mind and Need Help!!

Looks like a real nice truck from the photos. I would email the seller and ask him to email you some photos of the underside too. Not sure if I would go $7500 for a 6 stick long bed with no ac, ps or pb, but it certainly appears cherry. Good luck. Hope you win it.

Re: I'm Changing my Mind and Need Help!!

It's a shame you haven't found a burb you liked at the right price. We could use more member activity in the burb section (A LOT MORE!!). That would definately be a sweet truck if you were to get it; however if you are like me you will be happy with it for a while then you are going to be aching for a burb again. Also if you have the same luck as me you will buy that truck and then the perfect burb at the perfect price is going to pop up. I would think as long as you are willing to road trip the right burb will pop up soon enough. I looked on craigshelper a couple of weeks ago and found some nice ones at good prices. I will keep a look out for you!
