The previous owner of my 69' Step Side SWB decided that cross members were not needed. The first one removed was to relocate a Blazer Tank to the rear of the frame and the second, right in front of the rear axle (the one supporting the upper shock brackets. BTW, I no longer have the Blazer Tank in place. My question.....Are the cross members in our trucks the same on LWB and SWB frames and are the frames in our trucks the same on GMC's and Chevy Trucks? I have an opportunity to buy both of these cross members but they are from a LWB Truck.
