Tranny Compatibility question
OK...Automatic tranny in my 1993 blazer is bad. I have a working one from a 88 astro van that doesn't have too many miles on it. The 88 is not 4wd....the 93 is. but any wiring issues?

Re: Tranny Compatibility question
No the transmission won't work without alot of work. reason. The transmission in the Astro would have to be taken apart in order to put in a shorter output shaft so your transfer case could bolt to the transmission. In my opinion I would find another transmission for your Blazer or have your old one rebuilt for simplicities sake.

Re: Tranny Compatibility question
I agree - sell the 2WD transmission and put the money toward buying a 4WD.

93 & 94 4L60Es are NON-PWM transmissions 95 & up are PWM transmissions, You can run a 95 & up 4L60E in your truck with a simple wiring mod http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=371339 |
