Questions about my 1967 project??

I was wondering what type of transmissions they put in the 1967 c-10's with a 283, it has the three on the tree.

Does anyone know how hard it would be to put a 5.7 vortec into the 67 c-10 and if a TH350 tranny would bolt up to the 5.7 vortec??

Also the 67 has powersteering and I was wondering if all 1967 c-10's had powersteering or if mine is rare??

Thanks for all your help

Re: Questions about my 1967 project??

The transmission is a Saginaw, if i'm not mistaken. theres a couple different versions, but they're all basically the same. someone more knowledgable will speak up, i'm sure.

Vortec....no clue. .

powersteering was an option on all trucks, and is a semi-rare option. the truck needed to be fairly well optioned to have PS, along with PB, etc.

hope that helps a bit.
