Will S-10 SBC headers fit our trucks?

As the title says. Will SBC headers for an s-10 fit in our trucks? I have a buddy who will give me a set if they will fit. But I would rather ask before tearing everything apart to find out. Does anybody know?

Id hazard a guess and say yeah. A S-10 frame is similar to a chevelle frame and they'll fit.

Re: Will S-10 SBC headers fit our trucks?

Take a good look at the driver side header (S-10) and measure the clearance between the motor and steering shaft. On the S-10 the steering shaft runs through the header so the header is designed with clearance. That kick out might cause a problem on a C-10.

I have a V-8 S-10 but my C-10 is a big block so I can't really eyeball it for you.

Thanks Bryan. That was the part I was afraid of is that steering shaft clearance. Would you mind taking a measure of your headers for me since they are on the S-10? That way it is more accurate than one of the header alone. That would be appreciated.

Here ya go, looks like the shaft runs right at 3" from the header flange.

They fit, My truck has a set of s10 shortys on it right now. I'm not happy with them though (they came on the truck when I bought it), in order to pull some of the the spark plugs on the passanger side you have to remove the header, because of the way the pipes run.

I made a wrench to handle that issue. I'll try and get a picture up.
