dumb question
can anyone tell me what this is called, and what it is for? there is two wires coming from my wiring harness connected to it with an inline fuse and it keeps blowing fuses.

Re: dumb question
It's called the firewall junction block. Yes, you can put it somewhere else to clean up the firewall. Looks like someone did a number on it, too. Mine has a couple of fuses and fusible links coming to it.

Re: dumb question
The big orange wire coming off the post is connected to a fuse holder and connected to the two red wires going to the starter and alternator? the 30a fuse usually blows during or after start up. when the fuse is blown it will not start. no power to anything. it will run without the fuse in the holder but the guage shows the system is over-charging
