no heat in my 83
hey guys i recently got my 83 back on the road and to my suprize i have no heat, all the switches r working fine, i flushed the heater core, changes thermostat, checked for air pockets everything i know to du but i still have minimal heat, i sold this truck in october and the heat was great, it set until i bought it back last week and now no heat, please help b4 i freeze

if its a non ac truck make sure the door is opening for the heater door

Do you have air coming out of the ducts but just not warm air? Or is it warm air, just not a lot of force to the air blowing out? Lots of air with no heat - I suspect you need a new heater core, assuming the thermostat is the right temp and working. Hot air but no force - I suspect weak blower motor or relay.
Does the A/C work properly? Also, as mentioned, the cable going the the door in the heater box may not be working properly or disconnected - you should be able to feel/hear the door open when you move the control lever to the heat marking - there is a bit of resistance in the cable/lever assembly. |

I was thinking blower motor as well. is it blowing but just isn't very hot or are you getting barely any push?

i would definitely check your blend door. Take the glove box out and feel for it to be all the way to the left in its movement.
