66 fleetside brace measurements
I have a 66 fleetside that I need the measurements for so I can do the bedside repairs. Anyone have that little bit of wisdom?

Re: 66 fleetside brace measurements
Well I was told that the boxs are the same for say 62 up to the 66 > however it may be but they use different rails.... as the X frame trucks are wider in the frame. I have some specs on mine which is not a 62 from what I can tell.. but what measurements do you need?

Re: 66 fleetside brace measurements
60-62, and 63-66 are quite different in regards to the cross sills and bolt placement.
if you have specs for 63 up that will help him.

Re: 66 fleetside brace measurements
You guys are all so awesome. I am looking for the little pencil sized rod braces front the front of the bed. I have the old bent ones for the rear. So I can straighten and measure them and modify a set from a 56-60 set I purchased. However the fronts were missing when I got the truck.

Re: 66 fleetside brace measurements
al 4 pieces interchange, the rr, is the lf, and the lr is the rf...or something like that, I got mine off a couple different trucks.
there should be 2 holes in the crooss braces , about an inch apart for them to bolt to, I think that is for the factory adjustment. on my 61 I had to bend the brace a little to get the wheel opening in just the right spot.
