Any Musclecar Clones?
Kind of hard to title this one...
Anyone built a truck up like a factory muscle car? Thinking of like a 69 Pace Truck built off the Camaro model, or even a 67 truck done like a 67 Camaro PC, or a 71 Heavy Chevy style truck, etc.? I think one built up with the same color combo, engine detail, interior, whatever would be interesting. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to start looking for a 70 short fleet to build an LS-6 Chevelle themed "What if?" out of...

I saw a truck on here that had the frontend done like a 69 camaro, I'll see if I can find it.

This isn't the one I was thinking of but similar style more like a 68 camaro maybe...
I'll try to find the other one it had a cowl hood and racing stripes.

Re: Any Musclecar Clones?
I love this idea! I have been saying that my next project will be a 67 "Chevelle SS" truck!

Re: Any Musclecar Clones?
I had also considered the nascar truck series theme, but changed my mind cuz I'm not into lowering, but I still want wide tires. Actually, the '67-'68 lowered shortbed trucks remind me of an el camino cuz they have that more tapered front end like a car.

Re: Any Musclecar Clones?
I've got a shaved tailgate w a chevrolet script emblem from a car. CHevelle doorhandles and some srrounding metal waiting on the shelf. Still looking for the hevvele mirrors to replacce my peep mirrors and some aged corvette fuel injetion emblems to replace the 10 emblem on the front fender.
that's all I think these trucks need to look like a musclecar.

Re: Any Musclecar Clones?
When the '67's were new, GM did a show truck that was styled as you want. This truck was lemon yellow with a black vinyl top.

Re: Any Musclecar Clones?
I would be interested in seeing pics of that truck ^^^. The RS front end on the 67 show truck actually looks better than I imagined. Hmmm, any more thoughts/pics on this idea? Post 'em up!

Re: Any Musclecar Clones?
I read an article in Truckin' magazine many years ago that said GM built 2 SS trucks in '68. At least 1 survived and a guy used it to pull his 68 camaro SS to shows. I've been planning a SS 2wd blazer for years. I'd like to see more pics of the grill and hide-away headlights.
