Looks like an "Electric Brake" module for trailer brakes.

Not that you really probably have any doubt by now. Good to have if you tow, doesn't hurt anything at all if you don't. I've thought about relocating mine to a more out of the way location, but so far it's still sitting just like yours is. |

I'll probably never gonna tow anything bigger then a normal caravan, so I will probably never ever use it.

Looks like an "Electric Brake" module for trailer brakes. AND they are great when towing a car trailer with brakes. They cost a bit to install.
