Is this the right radiator?
I got this radiator with my front clip and I'm not sure if it's the right one for the truck. I dropped it into the lower holdowns and the realized that the tank is wider on the filler neck side than the other. Is it maybe a big block
radiator? How do I tell if it's 3 or 4 row? It's in ok shape, I figure I'll have to have it redone at a radiator shop but I don't want to do that and then find out it's not even the right one. My truck is a 350/350 originally (I think, bought it with no motor and no spid) Thanks!

Re: Is this the right radiator?
Looks like some one has changed on of the tanks, should be same on both sides. Functionally it should work but you will need two different types of hold downs. Make sure it fits height/ width wise.

Re: Is this the right radiator?
Maybe it's a super rare part off of a 427 racing truck?

Re: Is this the right radiator?
Weard, i have never seen that ether but cant say of there factory. Mine has 2 wide tanks.
It looks to me like a 2 core but without looking down inside the rad cap opening i cant tell ya. Look inside and see if you have 1 2 3 or 4 holes (rows) front to back , don't worry about top to bottom , just look front to rear at one spot.

Re: Is this the right radiator?
It almost looks like it is for 73 up trucks due to the 2 different sized tanks.

Re: Is this the right radiator?
You can tell how many rows it has by looking in the filler neck and counting how many holes there are from side to side.

Re: Is this the right radiator?
So one of the radiator holdowns is the wrong size and it's a little off side by side. I guess I need another radiator?

Re: Is this the right radiator?
The hold down go across the top of the radiator where the ends attach and they should be the same width, as long as they fit over it and it sit tight the mounts should be fine. My guess is your truck should be ok with a 2 core unless you live ina desert and do a lot of hauling or you have a bog block, if it wasn't GM wouldn't have put them on the trucks.
