WTB 4x4 rear U-bolt

I need one rear U-bolt with both bolts. I would prefer a matching one like pictured below. This is 68 GMC 1/2 ton 4x4 frame but I assume most of the U-bolts for 1/2 ton 4x4s are the same. The bolts measure 7/8s. I have 5 leafs in the leaf springs. Shipping would be to 06615. Thanks, Neil

Is that the stock setup? I don't recognize that saddle....I thought they used a cast saddle and it went on the bottom of the axle tube with the u bolts facing down...more of a squared u bolt that wraps around the leaf pack instead of axle.

I'm not 100% sure mine is the stock set up but I think it is. Blazerman I've seen what your talking about on trucks with a lift kit. The square u-bolts are usually for holding the blocks in for the lift kit, at least that's what I thought.

Re: WTB 4x4 rear U-bolt

Pics of stock 72 U-bolts. Looks like these came from a K20, also a new set same bend just smaller diameter. 4 " wide outside 8 1/2" long 1/2" and 5/16" diameter respectively. Let me know if one of these will work and I'll get it headed your way. Sharpie

Re: WTB 4x4 rear U-bolt

Dennis I'm pretty sure one on the left will work. Can you just confirm the bolts are 7/8s? PM me what I owe you with shipping and I will paypal you sometime this weekend. Shipping to 06615. I will take the one that requires the least amount of wire brushing and nice straight threads. Thanks again so much!

Re: WTB 4x4 rear U-bolt

I have always heard that you shouldn't reuse U-bolts. I am guessing it has something to do with stretching/yielding and not up to 100% strength.

Anyway, a spring shop can bend you new ones for about $12.
