exhaust question?
its getting close to finishing my engine for my truck and i was wondering if anyone has cherry bomb extreme mufflers and if you do how do you like them and how do they sound?

my thrush kinda like cherry bombs. as you can see, we have the emt's there in case where scared some of the old peeps around here.

Them trush sound pretty good! see i wanna know about the extreme because i was going to get flowmaster single chambers but i have heard that they have a really bad drone to them and heard the extreme is the closest thing but without drone.

Header sizing and length is where your power is.
All you want the exhaust system to do is get the gases out with minumum backpressure 2.5 pipe is good for 450hp (in theory). mufflers will make a difference too. Use a mandral bent system with a straight through muffler design such as the Dyno Max Ultra flow. Mandral kits are no more money that a muffler shop kink job Mandrel bent exhaust systems are the ultimate step in performance. Mandrel bent pipes don't lose any pipe diameter in bends, which means more flow and more overall performance. Having a full mandrel bent system also makes your vehicle's powerband more tuneable. |

the set up im thinkin about running is headman long tubes no cats 2.5 true duels with the extremes and turn the pipes out infront of the rear tires. does that sound pretty good?

ahh thank you that page helped yeah before i got my daily driver and before i had started building my first engine. i had cut off everything to where i had a couple feet of straight pipe and thats when i learnt about back pressure and burning valves lol.
