Wood Bed Sides on my Step Side. Yah or Nay?
I have a 69' Step Side with a 68' front clip. Painted the 5 lug Ralley's Red and gonna ultimately paint her hot rod black (primered black right now). Chrome Bumpers, Peep Mirrors, Stock Tank, 3/6 Static Drop, Black Wood w/ Red Bed Strips. I'm under construction right now but was wanting to know if Wood Bed Sides on a Step Side would look good?. Help me out - Yah or Nay?

I would say nay. Wood warps and moves too much with the weather. Expands and contracts too mutch to bolt the fenders tightly and if you did bolt the fenders too tight, the sides would crack. WES

you might think about some sort of aplique, or possibly vynal bodywrap in the woodgrain pattern you like. WES

Thats a great alternative idea Wes and very easy to do, plus if you dont like it, you can just peel it off and it probably wont cost too much to do.... try getting someone to photoshop it for you

Wood belongs inside the bed, not on the outsides... imho.
