Re: 67 C-10 project.
well i guess Santa couldn't get that new 327 motor down the chimney darn it!
![]() i did start up the l6 this morning and found my exhaust leak, it's right at the manifold and it's all welded and ugly looking. i think i'll look for a new one. is it pretty easy to replace? i also found the casting code on the block on the other side and was able to confirm 4.1 litre motor. i'll see if i can get the entire code and figure out what year it is so i can make sure i get the right parts. ![]()

Re: 67 C-10 project.
well just to let you all of these things are different from a 68 72
the knobs for dash lights wiper...etc the mirror arm bracket the fresh air vent knobs the glove box was painted differently the wing windows are different and the door handles for window and to open the door from inside all of that stuff you should keep looks like a nice truck you might have custom cab but i dont see holes for trim oh and the passenger fenders are almost impossible to find in good shape for a 67 ![]() |

Re: 67 C-10 project.
wow! thanks for all of that info! hmmm, a custom cab huh? there is still some chrome trim around the back side of the cab, but that's the only place? i think i'd be happy to have it back to original. any way to tell what engine it came with? i think that the cab and everything is original, the serial number on the sticker for the glove box matches the tag on the door still and the title. the green was the original color, and it came with the push button radio and the 4 speed, and heavy springs. and deluxe air heater thing... so far from what i can tel by scraping away paint and stuff, the bed is original, cab is original, left front fender is not, has a side marker light spot. hood is original, the drivers door is not, a gold color paint. and the engine is not. i think bumpers are . grill i think is original as well. but i think it was painted white? when did power steering come along? in 67 with the 4x4's?

Re: 67 C-10 project.
well as you fix things do them right and you should have a nice truck even when drums are working there best they still dont compete with disk brakes all any 67 owner needs to do is put powere steering and disk brakes
