I agree thats a lot of trailer for a short wheel base truck. If it was a long wheel base and had real truck tires on it, maybe. But coil spring overloads can be a helpful thing. I seen in a previous post a picture of some CS overloads that rested above the axle and wondered if these were stock or aftermarket. In the picture below are a set that came stock off a 68 C20. They rest against a plate which sandwiches between the trailing arm and axle. Missing right now is the rubber snubbers that set on the plate. This set bolted right up to the 69 swb C10. I intend to pull a trailer, but only a 14 footer that weighs much less than 9000 pounds.
