Question couple of lower control arm ?

when shortening the lower control arms 1" to help with camber, will i need to shorten the tie rods as well, or will they be fine the way they are? also, do i even really need to shorten them at all or will i be able to get enough camber back when aired up for a low ride hight? don't know if this will help with your answer or not, but i will be running a 27" tall tire, 3" drop spindles and cupped lower a arms if that matters, and want the ride height of the lower a arms to be about 3" from the ground.

p.s. thanks in advance

Re: couple of lower control arm ?

Your 3in spindles don't help it enough for your liking? I have the same setup your talking about minus the cut arms and I ride at 1-2in and my tires wear fine for bagged and no alignment. I have a 29in front tire. Your tie rods should have enough adjustment in themselves if you need them shorter for narrowed arms, or mine do in them.

No reason to narrow your arms with that set up. It will align just fine.

Re: couple of lower control arm ?

shortening the lowers will allow you to turn the wheels farther when you are driving low

Re: couple of lower control arm ?

The only advantage I can see,... is being able to align the front at a lower ride height.
You still have to have the front suspension come back into alignment (to prevent excessive tire wear).
Narrowing the lowers would help with this alignment at a lower ride height,... but you still have ground clearance issues to deal with,... when driving it this low.
So I'm not sure it's worth all the trouble.

Man,... that was too easy.
