Augusta, GA and area Cruise-ins

Hey Ya'll, Merry Christmas!

Last year at this time I was 1/2 a world away deployed to Iraq. Gathered around your family this Christmas Season, please decide to remember those Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines that are standing their watch, protecting and fighting for the freedoms of all people around the world. Their cause is voluntary, securing the freedom we all enjoy without thinking about the cost.

Thankfully, this year I am safe at home with my beautiful wife and wonderful girls...and back at home with my mistress...my 70 CST S/S.

For those of you in the CSRA area, what events are upcoming or routine for shows and cruise-ins? Having attended MCG here some years ago, I am back in the area searching for car/truck events to attend. So if any of you from the CSRA/Augusta Area have some insider info about where and when, I sure would appreciate it.

Again, God Bless and Merry Christmas!

I'm just over the bridge in SC, I haven't really hear of any local cruise ins lately. They"ll probably start near spring.

Bump

Appreciate the info guys. I was hoping that There might be one or two during the milder Southern Winters. Well, that gives me plenty of time to work on her to ready her for the spring shows.

I am swapping carbs next week. Going from a 650 Holley(POS) to an Edelbrock Performer 750. Also installing new 2 1/2 inch pipe all the way back. I'll post pics of everything after complete.

Merry Christmas!

Try to find a copy of "Ragtops and Running Boards".It's a newspaper style publication for car guys in Ga.Has lots of cruise and show info in it.You can also do a search and find several websites with listings.here's one to sart you off.

Also check the regions forum on the BB for your area.

Since you and JRTodd are local guys maybe we can do a "git Together before the Master's gets here.

Also, I'm looking to do a rear gear swap. Are there any local yards you would recommend that would have a 3.42 or 3.73 for swapping my open 3.08? I have reaf coil springs.

Good to have a couple local C-10 guys here.

Re: Augusta, GA and area Cruise-ins

This week, I'll make sure I carve out an hour or so to take a look at those trucks. Also look at a couple of the others after 72 for a newer, compatible diff. I really need a 3.42 or 3.73 with LSD. It might take some time but I'll find one.

Alternatively, can you all recommend a shop in the CSRA who would install rear gears internals?

Thanks guys for the info.
