kinda OT lowering blocks-leaf springs
I have a neighbor that has a 00 Silverado 1/2 Ton pickup. the front end is lowered and he wants to drop the back. Now it has been many years since I have dropped a leaf spring truck..but this is NOT how I dropped my Isuzu. Something is just not right...
I looked at the rear end and it already has blocks on it. something does not look right though...it appears that the blocks are located in the wrong side of the axel. But..I don't see how they could fit otherwise.. from top to bottom it is as follows. top of u-bolt, of course, leaf spring, block(3inch), axel, bottom plate and then bolts for end of u-bolts. The other thing is that the u-bolts don't face the same way as the axel. The are perpendicular to the axel. Anybody have pics or a tech artical on dropping one of these new full size trucks?
