OMG what have i done??
well fellas, after watching you guys and a marathon weekend of OverHaulin,i decided that the 71 Super Cheyenne C10 out in the driveway was coming apart. After ripping all the bedliner out i found all the wood was rotted completely so thats where i started. After the wood was removed and skid strips and bed bolts it was time to get it blasted.Once bed was gone the wirewheel and pressure washer came out.A couple days later the frame was ready for clean and primed and painted.Man I hope this comes out as well as other trucks i see here......stay tuned for more

Re: OMG what have i done??
ok guys, there is 2 rear fender braces i am missing and am wondering if anyone knows the length of these braces? found the braces at pull a part but not sure if they are the right length.....the braces are located at the rear of the bed, they brace the bed sides to the frame or wheel tub in rear holding the lower bedsides in correct alignment down the sides.....thank you in advance

Re: OMG what have i done??
a little update, have finished the bed and its in primer finally, been along time comin since the body guy cory had to have knee surgery and was down for a bit...
took the cab and chassis to his house for rocker removal and replacement as well as a drivers side lower cab corner replacement..... in these pics you can see ive opted to remove stake pockets completely and have them filled in as well leaving a smooth bed rail....this will have new bedwood installed aswell as fiberglass tonneau should make for a leak free bed i hope, rains alot here in seattle Last edited by Rat Bastid; 05-28-2010 at 09:00 PM. |

Re: OMG what have i done??
i think ive met him, i droped by a shop that specializes in our trucks, in the oly area, and yes i was like a kid in a candy store! good lukc on your rig, we are trying to be complete around his 16th birthday, nov 7 2011, so far we are on pace, but we are cautiously optomistic. money be damned!

Re: OMG what have i done??
got a bunch more pics for you guys, rockers were hashed up pretty good as well as the window channel.....
replacement parts went in smooth with very little alteration, got the right side off and realized more parts were needed like a pillar repair patch as well as 2 front cab supports. WES just happened to have everything i needed in inventory, some of you my know WES at classic heartbeat in olympia wa,hes been a source of alot of good info as well as awesome replacement parts. Re: OMG what have i done??
I've been thinking of doing this. Does it leave the top rail weak? I want to still be able to sit on the rail without bending it.
