I have the second compressor and it is ok and I use a blasting cabinet but if I where to do it again least step up to first compressor you posted. My compressor does cut on a bit more then I like and think it should be little more stronger then it is but it's what I got for now.

Compressor size will depend on the blaster size your wanting to use.....

I bought the one from H/F due to my budget. So far can't complain really does pretty good job with right media. Things I wish where different - better lighting, glass you will change protector cover alot depending on blasting, ledge when opening door media stays on and it falls out when open the door, media will stick to sides etc and not drop back down ( just shot it with gun then ok). Blasted probably 100 parts so far can't really complain for $180 I paid for it. Also picked media up from Northern Tools called Black Diamond 8.00 bag and use safety always when blasting - get a respirator mask. Just my .02

I would definitely get the 2-stage compressor if it were me.
I wish I had that one. Matter of fact that is exactly the same model I have been looking at the local Tractor Supply.
My single stage compressor runs way to much
trying to keep up with my blaster and I am probably going to burn it up?

Yep, The two stage is a better choice....

My single stage 80 gal runs almost continuously with my roll around Matco bucket style blaster, I was worried about over heating as well.

I tapped into one side of the 220 on the pressure switch with a 110 pigtail, Now when I blast I set a box fan up to move more air over the compressor.
