Re: Bagged '68 layin frame
thanks guys!! I dont have any current frame pics yet.. it will be 2 weeks before i get back down to k-town. im goin to ETSU and ill be here til finals are done, which is next thurs. but I will get some ASAP!! Im planning on thrashing on it hard this winter while im out of school.
Anyways, I really dont like my 4 link set-up so one day i am going to change it to a wish bone i think.. but for now, i still gotta get engine trans and some interior in it so i can drive this summer for show season.. One day, when i have the money and time (year or two) I am going to tear down again and build a complete frame! I have got a lot of ideas and knowledge from alot of other projects on this board.. especially FnLow's build!! that thing is freakin sweet.. anyways ill post more in couple weeks

Re: Bagged '68 layin frame
Hey man! I like your frame build!
Im building a rod using a 68 gmc c10 frame and this is the first frame i've seen z'ed in the front the way you did it! I was wanting to do that to my frame rather then buying spindels .How do you like it? Do you have more photos of exactly how you did it? Are you worried that since you boxed just the z in the front you might be putting alot of stress at the frame where the box meets the factory frame? Were you able to lay frame by doing just the 3" z in the front and the c notch in the rear? Thanks man. Keep up the good work. Your truck is looking good! |
