Tachometer Help
Hello
I have a 1972 Chevy C-10 that came with no tachometer. The engine a 305 from a 79 Chevy that has HEI on it. I would like to put in a tachometer in the truck. I have ran across some Tach Conversions that say not to be used in HEI dist. Any help to correctly wire up one of the them that still uses the tach in the cluster. Thanks Lewis Last edited by cobra1966; 01-02-2011 at 03:12 PM. |

Re: Tachometer Help
I bought the tach from LMC and hooked it into my HEI and it works fine.

Re: Tachometer Help
Factory tach with HEI here too. No concerns at all.

Re: Tachometer Help
I guess your right. I have a AC Delco HEI Dist. I know I see the Tach connection. I will have to try it out. Thanks
