I thought I have seen everything until now

I was out with a buddy today to look at some parts for his Cuda and they guy had a 58 GMC truck. I was looking it over and when I looked underneath I seen that all his wiring was run inside galvanized pipe and clipped to the inside of the frame. it had heat shrink tube at the end with a bit of black sealer to keep it water tight. He said he has been doing it that way for years and never had a problem. it was bent nicely and looked very clean.
Anyone else ever seen this?

Re: I thought I have seen everything until now

They do that on a lot of trailers if they have open frames instead of the square tubing. It does look very clean but it stinks when there is a short somewhere. You usually have to pull the whole works and start over again. The ones I have seen haven't had sealed ends though and gravel and moisture gets in there which probably promotes corrosion. The way your buddy does it by sealing the ends sounds better.
