I spent New Years Eve day washing and cleaning the inside of my '87 and putting a new blower motor in my '86.

Re: What did you get done 1/2/11 New Years Edition

Me and my son installed a new stereo, amps, and speakers. We spent the week making a sub box, door boxes and installing all the electronics. We also put Dynomat throughout the cab. Fun project but a lot of work. We finished January 1st at 2:00 pm.

Happy New Year everyone!

Finished making the holes in the newer door panels for the power door lock switches (will be installing power locks in the '76 soon), and also discovered a new front driveline vibration since using my 4wd in the snow for the 1st time since its been lifted

Re: What did you get done 1/2/11 New Years Edition

My daughter got some new wheels and tires for her 18th birthday (12-25) from her grandparents. We got those puppies mounted and balanced Friday morning. I just don't understand where all her love of wheels, lowering, paint etc comes from.

The family spent New Year's eve just hanging out at home.

Took the Heap and my S-10 for a cruise Saturday. Washed and cleaned the trucks, the Chevelle and Momma's van Saturday afternoon. Of course it rained all day today. LOL.

Happy New Year to all!

Re: What did you get done 1/2/11 New Years Edition

Sandblasted my rear leaf springs. I started sanding them to get ready for paint. Re-building spring packs is allot of work. The fronts were also allot of work but there was not as many as the rear.

Re: What did you get done 1/2/11 New Years Edition

Drove the 99 out to my mom's place, brought back a full truck load of S10 and Buick parts, only 3 motors 45 trannies and a little bit of misc left there from my 35 years of stashing.
Sold the wheels off my S10, need cash to fund my full size habit. Rest of the truck gets scrapped in 2 weeks.
Tore down my Monojet that I'm rebuilding for my 77, the choke was wired open and the vacuum pull off missing, gonna have to find the rest of the linkage somewhere. I hate that. But it'll be nice to get a functional choke on the truck.
Stole the battery out of it for my tractor, gives me an excuse to replace it with a new one.
Started the diesel, drove it in to town, runs great except for that horrible noise (most likely a rod) and the quart of oil every 300 miles.
