Help!!
Ok, finishing the restoration on my 67. I have a passenger outside door handle, and the part number on the box reads 3905683, which is correct for 67. On the handle however it reads 3927898, and the bolt holes go straight into the handle , as appose to into the handle on an angle, again correct for 67. This is where I get lost, I have a handle that reads 3927899, should be correct for the drivers side, but the holes are wrong, they go in on an angle. So what is the correct part number for 67 drivers door handle, does anyone have a NOS one willing to trade for a NOS Right and Left??

Re: Help!!
The above listed P/N 3905683 found on the GM box should be the correct 67 handle for the Pass./Rh side door, the P/N 3901463, again a GM box part number would be for matching Drv./Lh side 67 door handle. Good luck on the hunt. Mel

Re: Help!!
I have a NOS set of Exterior door handles for my 72. The GM sticker part number reads 3927895 for the left with # 3927898 on the part. GM Sticker number 3927899 for the right with 3927897 on the part. I did not notice the difference in part numbers before.

Re: Help!!
Hi Buddy, most of the time #3927897 and #3927898, both of which are casting numbers found on the inside web of the handle are usually for 68-72's. I have however seen both of these later C/N's have straight threads in them for use on the 67 doors, afterall they are only casting numbers that could have been drilled/tapped either way. On the flip side of that, casting #3891815 & #3891816, both earlier C/N's which I have found to always be straight drilled/tapped for 67's. I usually try and use the GM box/part label numbers #3901463, #3905683, #3927895 & #3927899 to save some confusion and then I always verify by looking at the handles themselves due to all of the years they have been floating around they could of and sometimes have been swapped around in the GM boxes. Happy New Year! Mel
