1 ton cab?
Anybody know if a 1 ton cab is the same as a 1/2 ton cab?

Believe so, difference is in the fenders and maybe hood.

Yes they are the same. The fenders may have larger openings though.

ACtually think that the fenders are the same up to a 30 series , after that they are bigger.

If its a 55 to 59 the answer is yes. Same cab small tonnage to the very largest tonnage. Except if its an LCF, then still close to the same except for the obvious things.

The 1-1/2 ton fenders have larger openings than the smaller trucks but the fenders are otherwise the same.
My 51 1-1/2 ton  the 48

the cabs are the same, i am just figuring out why my front fenders have huge wheel openings and the bed fenders do not, the truck is originally a 1.5 ton like mr48chev's, i ordered new fenders to correct this but have not installed them yet, i will keep you posted if i have any issues with the hood or front grill as far as fitting right but i think i will.

I am almost 110% positive that the fenders and hood are different from a 1/2 ton or 3/4 ton to a 1 1/2 or 2 ton.
The hood and fenders are longer. It is correct that the front fenders have larger openings but they are also longer overall fenders as well. The fender overlaps the cab fender recessed mounting location. The cab is the same. *Notice the brown portion on the cab where the fender would mount. The section of brown that over laps the normal fender mount location is where the larger front fender actually sits. On the second photo you will notice that the brown paint is completely covered by the fender... |

AFAIK you should be OK with the grill and hood, but don't hold me to this, I think the 1.5 ton fenders were slightly wider too.

the cab is the only thing the same as 1/2 ton or 3/4 ton truck. hood fenders and grill are all larger.
