I know it's a long shot, but I've been looking for this darn hood locally for a couple years now... won't hurt to try the forum. The hood doesn't need to be perfect, although I'd prefer it come with decent parking lamp assemblies.

I have a decent chevy hood with new park lamp assemblies to trade if in the slightest chance there's a chevy owner out there with a gmc hood.

Got one in Galesburg, IL, if you get near here. V6. It's starting to show rust in the rear corners. I'm open to anything reasonable, including cutting and shipping the nose, or just selling the hardware. jeff.simmons5@comcast.net

I've also got a 60-61 GMC grille, pretty nice. I've got to start getting rid of some of this extra stuff!

I meant to say I have a 60-61 HOOD, although I do also have a 60-65 chrome grille. Brain farts from old age...I also didn't mean to hijack this man's thread!

.... I'd rather have a 60/61 hood but just figured it would be too difficult to find.

I have a few 62-66 GMC hoods and a few 60-61 Chevy hoods, not sure if I have a 60-61 GMC hood or not I will check tomorrow. I am considering going up to the Nashville Auto Fest on Jan 15-16 if that plan works out maybe we can make a deal.

I have one 60-61 Hood and two 62-66 GMC hoods. The 62-66 hoods are in fair shape one is better then the other with only minor surface rust and some dents from being moved around. The other 62-66 has surface rust over the whole top and a few dents from years of use. The 60-61 is in fair condition as well, it has some small dents and a small rust hole (about 1cm). One edge of this hood is pushed in about 1 1/2 to 2 inchs but should be repairable. I can send picture of the hoods if you are interested. I still haven't decided on the Nashville show, trying to get some sales lined up first if possible.
