leave springs
did 69 chevy trucks come with leaf spring rear ends? if not what year did they start? mine is 69 short wheel base 2 wheel drive

From what I understand, the Gmc came standard with leafs coils were optional. Chevrolets came standard with coils leafs wre optional. Jim

as far as i know chevy didnt come standard with leaf springs untill 72, i have a 71 and a 72 both original and the 71 has coils while the 72 have leafs there both 2wd lwb

In 67-72 you could get leaves or coil in GMC and Chevy in the 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton. All the 1 ton and up had leaves. Starting in 73 all the chevys and GMCs were leaf.
