Memory for radio
Installed an aftermarket radio a few weeks ago,and for the memory,i just tapped into the cigarette lighter wire. Well it held the radio memory fine for about 3 weeks, but has since quit holding my presets for the radio and the clock. Is there a better place to tap into to all time power? Is the cigarette lighter wire just too much for memory on the radio? Thanks.

On my old truck, thats what I did. You should prolly run the red constant from your old radio. Trace the line from your fuse box. Or check the fuse for your cig lighter. The cig lighter is a lot easier to get to though.

run it through a PWR port on the fuse block.
