Drivers side tank doesnt work

I currently havent driven my truck in a while but while I have the switch on the passenger side tank the truck runs perfect, as soon as I switch to the drivers side tank the fuel pressure drops and the truck shuts off, so something is wrong. You think it can be something as easy as a kinked fuel line? My selector valve and switch are new and it worked up until I stopped driving the truck, could it have to do with the vent for the gas tank? Thanks ahead of time guys

When you switch on the malfunctioning tank, can you hear the valve motor sound and see the fuel gauge react to the level of fuel in that tank? I would verify level of fuel in malfunctioning tank and check for leaks.

The easiest way I have found to verify the valve is good, is to get under the truck and have someone else operate the switch. You should hear the motor in the valve running.
I also had a bad switch in the dash, it would just make intermittent contact and short out the circuit when I used it. Yours is probably the type of switch that says Depress Fully at the bottom of it, if so, that is a momentary style switch that makes contact to switch the sending unit since your truck has the block mounted fuel pump.
