What to do???

Ok, my tough choice to make is.... Do I pay $1500 for a 70 longbed that needs work. Or do I pay $700 for a 71 with salvage title that only needs a cab.

Re: What to do???

The 70 is the one without the camper. It has a broken windshield, electical problems, as well needed a complete bed.

The 71 had a street light fall on the cab and bent the right side cab and door bad enough to need a new cab. but it has more goodies...lol ..like headers , aluminum radiator, flowmasters, and lots of other go fast parts. Bad is the salvage title.

Re: What to do???

I like the looks of the '70 more, but the poor boy in me would probably steer me toward the '71. It would be nice to buy them both. Do you have any friends/relatives with excess money!

The '70 would be cheaper and easier. Why not keep looking?

Re: What to do???

Given your location, I would pass on both and keep looking.

Re: What to do???

Thats how it usually works you could try to talk them down but it probably isnt worth your time. Im sure youll find great deal around your area you just have to pay attention and look everyday... Obsession is the key.

Re: What to do???

You could sell the rims/tires off the 70 for around 500 couldn't you? In spring I know they would be easy to sell here anyway. Plus try to talk him down...
