Power lock help needed

Here is the scoop.

I shaved the exterior door lock cylinders on my 73 for a cleaner look, kept the handles though.

I need a way to lock/unlock my doors remotely, and have my eyes on this AVS kit.

http://www.avsontheweb.com/product.p...cat=500&page=1

I have factory PL solenoids from a donor vehicle I plan to use, but no wiring for them at all, just the solenoids/plungers...whatever we call them.

What else do I need to make all of this work? Keep in mind, my 73 did not come with PL, and currently has a 73-87 Painless wiring kit installed.

ANY help would be GREATLY appreciated!

Does anyone have factory power door lock wiring they would be willing to part with?

Re: Power lock help needed

Why not run an alarm with power door lock capabilities, or an aftermarket keyless entry system? It will be all new wiring, instead of 25 year old wiring, too. Any decent stereo shop should be able to hook you up there.

What he said. pick up one of these http://www.audiosavings.com/products...5C/APS25C.aspx
for less money, and a better product. then all you need is two relays and your set.

Use the 5wire diagram if your using switches in the cab, if not use actuators/reverse polarity diagram here

Re: Power lock help needed

Hey Jeff... If I remember correctly I have an aftermarket set of wiring and switches that I received from a packaged deal awhile back. They are not a GM product... even the switches are black if I recall correctly. I "think" I still have them... hit me up if this is something you would even be interested in.
