Do the Right Thing

Much of the time when somebody posts a
message about their experience with a
parts supplier...its bad news. Well...
this is good news. I had ordered a proportioning
valve from GMC Paul. When they went to
fill the order they discovered they were
out of stock. When they discovered this...
he called me long distance from Indiana
twice. (I wasn't home the first time)
He refunded the money to my bank account
by the next day and also gave me a part
number so that I could order it from GM
myself.

Its good to know that there are still
people in the world who will do the
right thing without having to be ask
or cajoled or pleaded with. I'm sure there
are many other suppliers known to the members
of this board who are stand up guys...but
I just wanted you to know about this one.

Thumbs up

Yep, it's easy to forget all the good experiences when you hear about bad ones. Always had awesome service with GMC Paul and Mothertruckers. What more could you ask for, good prices and KNOWLEDGE about what they deal.

What?!
You had to post that GMC Paul is a great guy?!!!
Well, I suppose there are a couple of people who may not know that. Thanks for making sure they know too!

Gmc Paul rules!

He even sent me an extra taillight trim bezel in my order yesterday! I'm still waiting to see what I owe him.

Sales is all about service. Many people will pay more for something and I am one of them if they know that they will get good service. That is why I try to buy from vendors on the board.

Service is #1 I made up my mind today not to buy from the truck place here in town. Personality of a fire hydrant! I wanted to give it one more shot. Still the same feeling.

That is really a good idea. I find my self never going back to a buisness if they tick me off, even if it is just once.
Kinda sucks...I'm running out of places to shop.

Yeah, Good business just a lousy business owner. He really needs to figure out what parts are called and then maybe learn some social skills!
Imagine how much money one person will spend on parts for these old trucks. I know of four people close to me that I will NOT be sending there. My money will be spent elsewhere as well. His hours were screwed up as well for anyone that has a day job to try and get there to buy parts. I can only assume he has a night job and runs this business during the day.
I am not the only person who felt this way about the place.
So much potential! Truly sad!
