Stubbs67,
You dont know how many years I complained about working in my Attached 2 car garage before my Wife couldn't take my complaining anymore. She looked at me one day and said why dont we build a shop so you can restore cars like you want to. After I picked myself off the ground because I fell off my chair I called my buddy the escavator and started talking plans with him. The rest is history. I think the real reason my Wife said lets build a shop is because she bought a 2007 Acura TL Type S and she was afraid i would mess up her car doing resto's right next to her car in the attached Garage. I guess my Plan Worked.

Re: 67 Shortwide Resto

Now that my earlier post is out of the way. Why were you guys cutting squares into the tailgate? I would like to know so that I may catalog it away for future reference.

Re: 67 Shortwide Resto

I feel like a Bear coming out of his Den. Ok now that I have shaken the winter blahs off I am going to go back to work on this old truck. Ok where do I start? Why did I cut holes in the back of the tailgate? Well it was the only way I could beat the huge dents out of the front of it from the backside. Now they are all welded back in and grinded down. Tailgate looks like new. Next I have been grinding on the bottom of the cab and undercoated it so it wont ever rust. My Oldest Son cleaned the firewall and painted it. I am going to marathon the bodywork and get this thing ready to paint come early Summer. You might say I took a little time off this thing as I was a little burned out after doing 5 complete resto's. But I am back and will try to keep you guys updated at least once a week.
