Re: Your first 67-72 pics
Funny you should ask. For the past 7 or 8 eight years I have been lamenting the fact I didn't have a before picture of my truck. I lost them on a hard drive crash. Last week I found an old back up disk with this pic from almost 10 years ago. I can see my daughter peeking through the back window. She's in university now! Before and after pics in a few weeks.

Re: Your first 67-72 pics
Here's mine right after a wash and wax in my parents front yard. A 68 that I started working on when I was 15 (and 40 lbs lighter). I sold it the day of my high school graduation in 1997. Been regretting it ever since!

My 68 in 1989. I still have it, but doesn't look quite as good now. Got it in 86.

Re: Your first 67-72 pics
I never took pictures of my first truck,or any vehicle I owned for many years (so you get my jibberish instead). Some found their way into a picture of something else. But,I sure keep a vivid picture of my first truck. I remember when the '67s came out and I loved them. Loved the '66s and earlier designs already. I was 12,I think, and built them as models. Started driving in '71...a '56 VW. Got out of H.S. in '73 and it was time for a truck. I was so disappointed that the body had changed and wanted to grab a 67-72 while they were still pretty new. I found one on the OK Used Car lot at Sport Chevrolet in Silver Spring,MD. I liked it,but had no idea what I really had and as years have passed and I've learned enough to know it was pretty unique. I knew it was a yellow shortbed with a big block and a plaid seat.
1972 Custom Deluxe Highlander,Ochre/White,402/TH400,posi,wood floor. First thing was get rid of the wheelcovers. I ran 8.25 x 16.5 steelies on front and 9.75 x 16.5s on rear with 10s and 12s for rubber. First the wheels were black, then I painted them white and ran early '50s Chevy car caps. That was when I had the middle white painted ochre (left the top white). I put headers with duals out the back and dressed up the motor. I finished it off with a white tonneau cover and under dash am/fm/cassette. That truck was my pride and joy.I had it almost two years before someone ran a red light and t-boned it and laid it to rest.

Re: Your first 67-72 pics
Here's mine. The first pic is when my grandfather owned it. He was the original owner. The second pic was taken sometime in the 80's when my dad was the owner. The third pic is what it looked like when I became the owner. The fourth pic is what happens when one of those little import tuners with someone behind the wheel who thinks he's on a race track hits it and the last pic is of how it currently sits.
