New suspension installed...alignment way off
Completed install of 3.5/5 drop kit from ECE. The stance is awesome! I'll post pics later. Installed drop springs and spindles, KYB shocks and relocation mounts, new upper & lower ball joints, outer tie rods, super trac bar & will install new front sway bar later this weekend.
Went from heated & cut springs and my alignment is now jacked as I expected. Toe in and camber is noticeably off. Question is....it's maybe 3 miles to the alignment shop. Do I drive it (carefully) to the shop or can I do damage to the new tires in that short a distance?

Re: New suspension installed...alignment way off
Got any old wheels and tires you can throw on the front?
Otherwise I would try to get the "toe" close,... and drive it!

When I installed the new outer tie rods I measured the old ones installed and duplicated the distance. I need to adjust these to correct the toe in, right?

Re: New suspension installed...alignment way off
Yes.
The drop spindles arms are moved in a little more than the stock arms. So your "toe" will be out a little. Get some help and measure the front side of the tires compared to the back side. Just get them close. 3 miles won't hurt anything.

Re: New suspension installed...alignment way off
Thanks Man...I appreciate it. Don't want to eat up those brand new tires!
