disc brake conversion

just picked up my new{to me} 1963 4x4 sb 1/2 ton bb. now i need to get those brakes happening..... my question my friends....where is the best place to get the conversion kit.... anybody with experience at shopping for this kit....any feed back would be great...thanks BTN

just put in a later set of axles, frt and rear..frt should bolt in and on the rear you have to move the spring perches on the axle. put in p/s at the same time. cheapest way to do it

Agreed, on the front differentials with the drum brakes it would be a lot easier to just grab a 10bolt or Dana 44 out of a 70's half ton.

Yep, just get yourself a pair of differentials from a '73-'87 K10. And get the complete braking system as well as the power steering box from the same.
