My 82 K10's sway bar & front spring busings are looking nice and worn out. Sway bar isn't very hard, but I have never changed the spring bushings on one of these before. I have only replaced entire assemblies that the bushing already came in. How hard is it to change these bushings out, they are not that expensive but I'm sure they are a PITA to change. Any info or advise would be great before I start this project??

The old bushings and sleaves will be stuck and can be hard to get out. I like to use a mapp gas torch or oxy torch to heat up the old rubber so that they can be driven out. Make sure you have good ventilation because some of the rubber will burn. Its not the only way but it does work.

Getting the bushings out of the leaf springs is the most difficult part. If you have access to a press, that will work best. If not you can burn them out as russgt mentioned, or drill several small holes through them to allow you to beat them out with a BFH.

You really need a press and torch as mentioned. Do not heat the spring eye too much just hot enough to expand it some. Once you have them out the new ones press in pretty easy without heat.
