Re: 72 Blazer, is it worth $2000?
Any idea if the right side looks like the left side? If so, I'd say it has some moderate to serious rust issues. Are there any body panels that aren't rusted through? Torsion boxes still there? I'd think maybe $1000 to $1500. I bought my light yellow Jimmy for a grand and the only things worth saving were the hood, the tailgate, the entire interior, all glass, the top, the w/s frame and the drivetrain. Everything else was shot. Between what I kept and what I sold off of it, I probably broke even or made a couple of bucks, but not much more than that.

Re: 72 Blazer, is it worth $2000?
right side is just like the left, here's some more rust on the inside: the hatch is good, and drivetrain is good, the top is a double wall which i wouldn't need anyway,

Not worth 2000 thousand dollars. I wouldn't pay over $500, that thing is shot.....

Not sure where you guys can find these like this for $500-$700. The $2000 asking price may be a little high, but a running, driving 4x4 CST blazer like that would be at least $1200 in MN.

Re: 72 Blazer, is it worth $2000?
I would run far far away from that unless you were looking to part it out. If you do buy it you are going to have more time and money into it than just biting the bullet and buying something higher priced with no rust.
And all you east coast/rust belt guys. You should come over to the west coast the only rust I ever see is in pictures from you east coasters

Agreed. You couldn't give that thing away in Calif.

Re: 72 Blazer, is it worth $2000?
I agree with that, but he is not in CA. My point is you guys are saying it is hardly worth $500. Even in CA it weighs the same to scrap it after you pull the bucket seats, console and alot of other good parts. It should still weigh at least 3000 lbs after parting out.

Re: 72 Blazer, is it worth $2000?
If it has a single wall top I would say it's worth $1200 in parts from what I can see. I wouldn't buy it for a restoration though. Unless you had a nice tub to swap parts over to.

Re: 72 Blazer, is it worth $2000?
Yes, that is about your only option. I had to do that once....never again, way too much work! Boardmember Budnikguy lives by me and I believe he ended up doing the same thing. This is why I won't buy a vehicle that has no title....and what gives an out-of-state buyer an extreme advantage. If you live in a state where it is not an issue, you can get some great deals here.

Re: 72 Blazer, is it worth $2000?
It may not be worth $2000 but it should definately be worth more than $500. The bucket seats with matching console alone are worth that much. Besides the seats I see at least another $600-800 in parts that I know I need for my project. It usually takes me two evenings after work to get an untitled vehicle cut up and taken to the salvage yard so things like no title on a parts vehicle doesn't bother me too much. If it was in my home town I would give $1000-1200 for it. Of course blazers are IMPOSSIBLE to find around here.
