Re: Anyone tried these brake lines?

I haven't seen anyone mention using them, but for $50 it might be worth trying. I noticed it said this at the bottom.

"All lines are made in USA or Canada and are 3/16" or 1/4" outer diameter with a factory flare."

I wonder if that means you can buy a 3/16 kit or a 1/4 kit or if one kit just has a mixture of both sizes. I would check into that before I bought it. Let us know if you end up trying them.

Buy 2 sets. That way you might get enough good flared ends that seal right. The price might seem right but cheap is still cheap. Buy quality from inline tube or a business like that. You're dealing with your brakes. Your life depends on quality parts.

the brake lines at ANY parts store are seamless tubing, and COULD be bent with out kinking. If ya don't think so, just go buy a 12" piece and try it. A cheap bender, a thinking cap that works, and some patience you can bend your own. I personally do not do this. The time involved VS the price of a prebent kit makes -- making your own not worth it.

I understand that, I mentioned it so that he could make sure it comes with enough of each size. I'm sure there are people that didn't know that though so thank you for mentioning it.

I just bought new lines for my truck too, and I went ahead and spent the extra cash to get a good quality product that has been proven. I didn't want to cut corners on something as important as brakes.

Re: Anyone tried these brake lines?

I actually bought a brake line kit from this guy afew weeks ago for my 71'. He sells the pvf 'rust proof' lines for other cars and he made me a kit with the pvf coating for my truck. Everything looks pretty nice and does bend easy just like every other brake line I've seen. I havnt installed the lines yet because I'm in the middle of cab repair but the fittings and lines look like pretty good quality and the price was right .
