22" wheels or rallys with drop

Hey forum, I am having a bit of a problem. I cant decide if I should run 22 " or rallys on my 68 gmc 1500 shorty. I have looked all through the forum and came a across some nice trucks with both options.I am getting killer deals on both sets and cant figure what to do. I like both styles of wheels.I want this truck to be more like a street truck cuz its my daily driver.Any input would be great and pictures would be better. My truck is satin black and it has an 5 1/2" f - 6" b drop. NOTE: both wheels are the same price with tires on craigslist. The rally size is 15 x? tires are 275/60/15 and the 22s are ?(owner does not know). Here are the 2 sets. You decide! Thanks

I prefer rallys with rwl's with satin black trucks. 22's would look awesome though IMO, but since it's a DD, the tire replacement cost might be high given the amount of drop you have. I don't know how tire wear is on these trucks when lowered, but all of my lowered vehicles wear the insides pretty fast even with an alignment within spec.

I am also thinking rally's for the tire cost plus I believe its a better ride. I wish I could get both then no worries right! The rally's now have pretty new 275/60/15 tires. That's to big for the front right? Im thinking 245 or 215 up front for that rod look? any pics of those combinations? Thanks to all who replied!

Rally's vs 22's......Rally's
Rally's vs 18's......18's

Personally not a fan of big inch wheels and rubber-band tires.

Rubber band tires LMFAO! Never heard that one before but I will be using that one for sure. So rally's it is then! Thanks too all.

22's don't look bad at all. Its what im rolling on and I guess im using rubberband tires as well. Bagged front and rear and the ride/look are more than acceptable to me.

Re: 22" wheels or rallys with drop

Also something to consider is what your current tire height is now compared to the new ones. When I went from my 17"s to the 22"s, it raised my truck pretty noticilbly if you ask me. The problem is, if you're going from a tall tire down to a shorter tire, you might have clearance issues since you already have a pretty decent drop.

Re: 22" wheels or rallys with drop

Wow ok 58 gmc that truck looks tuff. I think im going to pick up the rally's though. I am hoping for a better quality ride. Don't get me wrong I love big wheels, but I think that big wheels look better when your bagged up. This truck is staying all og except for a lil drop. Thanks to all replied God Bless!

Re: 22" wheels or rallys with drop

If mine were a daily driver i wouldn't want 22"s. i have them but i only drive it a couple times a week at the most. i wouldn't want to worry about missing pot holes so much every day being scared of bending a rim or having a blowout.
