steering box interchange question
Does anyone know if the power steering box from a '87 v1500(K10) will work on a '70 K10. Is it just a matter of getting a pitman arm that will go on the splined shaft on the gear box?
Thanks

I believe the 85 box is a metric and will have o-ring fittings for the hoses insted of the flare type the 70 will have.

i believe you'll find the input shaft, where the ragjoint goes, to be a differnt diameter. as long as you get the correct ragjoint and hoses it'll bolt right on.

Sounds like I won't need the Johnny Cash" Adaptor kit"after all. I've been told that this late model steering box will give a tighter steering with less movement of the wheel - but who knows??
Thanks for the info.
