to me its not the issue of saving money but the fact that im very impulsive and even though i have the color i want in my head, there is a very good chance that my truck will end up a different color.
i do have about a gallon and a half of high gloss black. i have never saw this done and was thinking that there might be a reason for that.

Hills hot rods does that quite a bit not necessarily black but he will paint the inside a color to match the upholstery color and the dash, door jams, and doors will match the upholstery and the exterior will be a different color, check out their website and look for pictures of the short bed yellow truck it is done that way with a carmel color interior.

I agree with low1ton..only seen HHR do it..but not the whole door jamb...he even uses a flat paint to match the leather..looks good imo
