Might be an interesting find

I'm wondering how original it is. My dad and I took a trip to check out and buy a 49' Chevy Deluxe 4dr. Anyway, he's got some interesting stuff. When you click on the link go to classic cars and trucks, this is the first one on the list.

Interesting truck, but the emblem's look a little too new to me. You don't see many long steppers.

Re: Might be an interesting find

I'd like it better if it was done all stock, like it would have been if it was real. Done to look old and faded would be cool, but done to look straight out of the time when it was new would be too.

Re: Might be an interesting find

Looked for a B & L Chevrolet co. in Hillsville Va., doesn't seam there is one anymore. But I did find where a local business man in a town nearby did work there back in 56'. Don't know if this brings anything to the table since the lettering does look pretty fresh, but I figured what the heck.
Also, after reading my own post, it sounds like I was just there taking pics,(these pics are his) it actually has been a couple of years since we went and picked up the 49'. And it's also still on his site in the projects section, scrolled down to his sold cars.
