Exclamation step-side to fleetside for 67-68

I know there is prob a thread alreay here for this, but i got tired of looking for it. I dont have a truck yet but I'm looking into getting a 67-68 C10 and its like tryin to find a needle in a haystack tryin to find one thats a fleetside that noone wants an arm and a leg for. So, my biggest question is how difficult is it to convert a step-side to a fleetside? Such as cutting, replacement of bed mounting locations, etc. basically how much would i have to do to do it? Would it even be worth it as far as price goes?

You can swap beds if that's what you're asking. No issue there. The issue as you've found is finding a fleetside bed in good shape. There are complete repop bedsides/floors available...but they are rather pricey...

Well my prob aint findin a fleet bed I see all over dallas craigslist. ive just been told its too much work cuz u gotta cut new holes to mount it and cut the frame but u should only have to cut frame if ur makin a long a short right? And im wantin to go with the traditional wood bed.

Re: step-side to fleetside for 67-68

Never heard of anything being different. Have seen several swap beds in an afternoon so I always assumed they were a direct bolt on. Hopefully someone else can verify that for you.

A friend of mine had fleetside, we changed it 2 a stepside in 2 hours,no problem,we use WD-40 on the bolts the day before we took it apart, it made it come apart alot better
