1971 Chevy - power brakes and steering from an IROC Camaro
Hey guys, I've been reading about what would be the best things to do on my truck, and I've already had in mind to do power brakes and power steering, but I just have one question. I had an 86 Iroc Camaro, but I parted it out an kept a few things for myself, including the power brake booster setup, power steering pump, and power steering (quick ratio) gear box. Am I spitting in the wind with this one, or do you guys think this might work ?

Re: 1971 Chevy - power brakes and steering from an IROC Camaro
I'm sure with enough time and money that you could make it work somehow, but I can imagine it would be labor intensive and expensive. Someone else could tell you for sure, but I don't think those parts are going to interchange. In my opinion you'd be better off getting the parts from a 73-87 truck or 88-91 Suburban. It's very straightforward and has been done countless times by guys on the site. I can understand wanting to use what you currently have available, but I think you'd be better of going another route.
