whats up guys im richard. but everyone calls me dick. got my self a 1970 long bed but the guys we got it from put a 68 body on it. i had a spre 396 lyin around and a 400 also i dropped that in it. thing flys like a brick haha. mexicans before me heated the springs and ruined the shocks. still had the stock air shocks in it. it was pretty rough it had a 350/350 in it. i fixed the electrical dash, lights, you know stuff to make it street legal. unfortunately the morons shaved the tank hole in the cab and put a 15 gallon fuel cell under the bed WITH NO ****IN WAY TO FILL THE DAMN THING!!!. still knockin out a few things on it. any one who would like to know more just hit me up.... o and im always lookin for parts. for this beast.

Welcome from NW Washington. Sounds like a good project. Do you have any pics? Good luck to you.

Re: hey from bakersfield ya'll
the power house and the interior. the guys before me painted the inside and reall did a **** job of doing it. THEY PAINTED OVER THE DAMN WIRING HARNESS FOR GODS SAKE. MORONS.. i built some of the 396 had my friend finish it up because i had to work and couldn't find the time. it a 396 .030" over with a big hydraulic cam so idles like crap. haha. only exhaust manifold i could find to fit the truck engine combo were stock manifolds. i probably tried 10 different pairs man. the exhaust we did at another friends shop. not mandrel bent and we hid it up in the trucks frame so eye level under the truck u dont see the exhaust. also is any one has the center caps for the rims please let me know i can find any.
