Is my th350 shot?????

Hey folks, I was heading down the road and lost all my forward gears in my 69 blazer 4x4 with a th350 at the same time. I was luckily on gravel and 1.5miles from my house so I drove home in reverse perfectly fine. Fluid level is where it should be. Is the transmission shot or could it be something stupid? I see a bunch of snow between the transmission and the cross member so could i have shift linkage problems? I can feel the shifter click into park/reverse but nothing past that. Also does $650 seem reasonable to have it rebuilt if I remove/deliver the trannie?

Thanks,
David

Re: Is my th350 shot?????

Doesn’t sound good to me, but I am not a trans guy, I can tell you that you can get a B&M or TCI th350’s out of JEGS for close to that rebuild price, I don’t know how stout they are or if they would be good for 4x4 applications. Someone will chime in I am sure. anyway I got you back to the top. good luck with it.
